Adoption & Foster Applications now available online!
CCRF does not release our animals after the first meeting. A home visit, animal introduction (if you currently have another pet), landlord/condo association and reference check all need to be completed before the adoption or foster can become offical. We try our best to complete the adoption/fostering process with in 1 week.

Adoption FAQ's

Are all the animals living at the facility? No, not all of our animals live at the facility. All of our cats and kittens are in foster homes. To see if a specific dog lives at the facility, please read the animal individual bio on our website (click on the animal's picture). If an animal is not living at the facility, introductions will be arranged AFTER an adoption application has been accepted.

Can I stop by the facility to meet dogs that I'm interested in? Yes, you can during our normal adoption hours.
A brief summary of the adoption process and a waiver will be ready for you on your arrival at the shelter. Until you have submitted our online adoption application, we can only offer you a brief five to ten minute tour to show you the animals that are living at our facility. Our staff may be able to give you brief information about each dog, however, a more in depth discussion can take place with your adoption counselor.

If you would like to spend some time with one of the dogs available for adoption, please ask our staff if that might be possible. We will try to do everything we can to accommodate your request, but may not be able to due to space restrictions, time of day (feeding, meds), or a lack of volunteer adoption coordinators at this time.

If you would like to walk one of the dogs available for adoption, you are more than welcome to take the dog on a quick 10-15 minute walk. If you have children or persons under the age of 18 with you, they may accompany you on the walk but may NOT walk the dog or hold the leash at ANY time. Our staff member will prepare the dog's collar and leash for you. To take an animal outside of the facility, you will need to give a valid Driver's License or State ID to a staff member to hold. Your License or ID will be returned to you when you leave the facility.

A $50 deposit is also required for animals that have not yet been neutered/spayed. There is also a $50 deposit required for all "Bully Breed" dogs which will be returned after proof of completion of training is received by CCRF.
